| My favourite apples - Jonathan Apples. Not in season for long and not easy to find, love 'em! |
Today we had a crowd and I resurrected an old recipe from my childhood. Baked apples...Core apples and put them in a glass oven proof dish. Stuff apples with died fruit, add a little brown sugar and some spices if desired. I didn't add sugar today and loved the baked apples as is but I think they were a bit tart for the kids. Bake in the oven for 1/2 until tender. Serve with ice cream, custard or creamed rice!
